“Special Education Needs (SEN)”  is a legal definition and refers to children with learning problems or disabilities that make it harder for them to learn than most children the same age.

SEN covers a wide range of needs. These include behavioural, emotional and social difficulties, speech, language and communication, hearing impairment, visual impairment, multi-sensory impairment, physical disability and autism.

The aim of the SEND madrasah is to provide an Islamic education to those children who have otherwise been unable to access mainstream madrasah education.
